For November/December #RockCares decided to adopt-a-family. We contacted our local Salvation Army in October and by the 2nd week of November picked our family for this Christmas. Employees ordered stuff online off their wish list or donated money. On #BlackFriday Jillian, Dina, and I hit the stores.
Jillian and I were nervous about getting everyone to participate so we only took a small family. Everyone loved this idea though and it felt good to help someone out. We all know what it is like to need a little help sometimes.
The Sunday crew got together and wrapped all the gifts. On Monday, Jeremy drove me to the Salvation Army and helped me unload the catering van. The Salvation Army workers were super impressed with our haul and said next year we need either 2 families or a bigger family!
On Christmas Eve our adopt-a-family is going to stop by the restaurant and pick up their Christmas Dinner provided by Rockefeller’s.
